TOKYO: MORI Eisuke, a member of the House of Representatives of Japan and Chairman of the Japan-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship Association, will visit Kuwait to extend condolences on the passing of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, as a Special Envoy of Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio.

Mori will extend condolences to the dignitaries of the State of Kuwait on behalf of the Government and the people of Japan.

Sheikh Nawaf died on Saturday at the age of 86. He was succeeded by Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Sabah, 83, who has been Kuwait’s de facto ruler since 2021, owing to the late Emir’s ailing health.

Mori belongs to the Liberal Democratic Party and was the Minister of Justice in the administration of ASO Taro.
