TOKYO: A military to military dialogue between Japan and Oman was held in the Omani capital Muscat on June 19, Japan’s Ministry of Defense reported.

The Japanese delegation was led by MIURA Jun, Director General for International Affairs in the Bureau of Defense Policy.

The Oman delegation was headed by Brigadier General HAMED bin Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Balushi, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning of the Sultan of Oman’s Armed Forces.

They exchanged views on a variety of issues, including Japan-Oman security cooperation and regional affairs. They also discussed the way forward for Japan-Oman defense cooperation and exchanges among other related topics.
