ABU DHABI: Following Inaki Godoy’s announcement of attending Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) this year, Comicave, a premier destination for pop-culture collectibles, will be releasing two limited-edition “One Piece” products. 

Considered the best-selling manga in history, “One Piece” is written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda and follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, played by Godoy in Netflix’s live adaptation, and his crew as they search for the one-piece treasure to make him the next king of the pirates.

The first item that Comicave is releasing is a detailed action figure of Luffy, which will be available for sale at the event, both for “One Piece” collectors and for fans who’d like to get their figures autographed by Inaki.

“We are launching the S.H. Figuarts Luffy with its detailed sculpture to give fans the opportunity to own one and even get it autographed by the Netflix celebrity at the show,” a representative of Comicave told Arab News Japan exclusively.

Additionally, making its way to MEFCC this year is Comicave’s new partner brand, Chinese merchandise company Jimei Palace, bringing the first drop in the Middle East region with the impressive, highly detailed, limited-edition statue of the character and his mentor, Silvers Rayleigh. The item will be sold as a set.

“We’re thrilled to introduce a new line of high-end, limited-edition collectibles focused on anime and gaming. With Jimei Palace, fans can expect high-quality licensed statues that spare no details. With this first release, collectors get a beautiful display case along with the statues, LED features, and backdrop, instantly upgrading the whole experience,” the representative commented.

While the statues have not yet been released in most markets, fans can enjoy the early release at MEFCC. This licensed product will be available in very limited quantities and will include an amazing display box with integrated lighting and background, further enhancing the diorama, making it the perfect piece for One Piece collectors.

Taking place from Feb. 9 to 11, MEFCC has become a premier destination for fans of comics, movies, TV shows, anime, and gaming in the region. The annual event draws together a diverse community of enthusiasts, creators, and industry professionals. It will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, and tickets are now on sale.
