Creator of Grendizer Go Nagai donated a handwritten message praying for the reconstruction of Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, which was damaged by the Noto Peninsula earthquake on Jan. 1.

The colored paper has the original drawing of the ‘Great Mazinger’ character and has been on display in Wajima City Hall since April 11.

The Go Nagai Memorial Hall on Wajima was destroyed by a fire caused by the earthquake.

The city investigated the interior and confirmed that the original paintings and figures that Go Nagai production company had loaned to the memorial hall remained unburned.

It is said that the fire resistance measures were successful. On the colored paper, the message adds: “Thank you for protecting the manuscript.”
