DUBAI: Arab Health 2024 saw a large number of leading Japanese medical companies participate in the exhibition in Dubai from Jan. 29.

The trade show is focused on fostering collaboration and opportunities in the healthcare sectors, bringing together companies from all across the Middle East and the rest of the world.

Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) supported the participation of 29 Japanese companies. 18 of them were Japanese leading medical product manufacturers, producing high-quality and uniquely designed products.

11 of them were Japanese medical-related startups, proposing new solutions with their cutting-edge technologies.

Japan is the second largest medical device market in the world, and its products are famous for their ‘Japanese Quality’ such as accuracy and preciseness, providing safety and comfort for all patients.

The companies participating at Arab Health 2024 told Arab News Japan their main goal in participating is to achieve global outreach and contribute to the Middle Easter healthcare industry.

Sanko Manufacturing Co., Ltd.’s General Manager Akikazu Endo said that their participation at Arab Health 2024 is the “first step to learn more about the Middle East’s healthcare industry.”

“We are looking for distributors in Dubai,” Endo said. “We want to sell in the region.”

Hakuzo Medical Corporation’s Manager Seiji Nishinome said their goal was to start operating in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

“We are already somewhat operating in the UAE, but we would like to expand our scope,” he said.

Fuji Systems Corporation’s Ryohei Yamamura said the Middle East market was “very powerful and energetic, we want to be part of it.”

The Japanese companies manufactures silicone for catheters for hospitals.

Japan Bio Products, a leading company in the area of the placenta-based products, also participated at the exhibition. The company’s Sales Manager Jason Seok Won Park said they work on needles for fillers and plastic surgery, as well as skincare products.

Their main goal was to expand their sales in the region.

Arab Health 2024 is running at the Dubai World Trade Center until Feb. 1.
