TOKYO: North Korea on Wednesday denounced “the murderer” United States for committing “anti-human rights actions” that make it “a ‘participant country’ in the genocidal war against the Palestinian people.”

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published a commentary saying the US “actively supports Israel’s mass murderous brutality against the Palestinian people,” noting that it had decided to deliver around 14,000 tank shells to Israel and was the only country to exercise its veto power when the United Nations Security Council voted on a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.

“Many countries around the world believe that the ‘Middle East strategy’ pursued by the United States will only bring about a vicious cycle of bloody confrontation and war in the region,” the commentary said. “The United States has been denounced and ostracized by all parts of the world. Time will prove that the United States, which protects Israel through the sacrament of blood, will receive the deserved judgment of the international community.”

“Most of the real power in various fields such as politics, economics, and media in the United States is in the hands of Jews and pro-Israel groups, so a policy that is completely pro-Israel has become an instinctive demand of the United States. With this support from the United States, the Zionists, who have reached the height of their ecstasy, are inflamed by bloody human hunting.”

North Korea also accused Israeli forces of destroying all the medical equipment in Shifa Hospital, the largest hospital in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, and of “savagely bombing the last hospital in operation in the northern Gaza Strip.”

“The fact that [Gaza] has been made into a hospital ward is just one example of how serious the United States’ policy of shielding the Zionists’ murderous brutality has become,” the KCNA statement said.
