JEDDAH: The University of Oxford and King Abdul Aziz University (KAU) have signed an agreement to establish the first joint international innovation center for artificial intelligence (AI) and precision medicine.
Under the agreement, the new center will operate from both universities bringing together senior AI research specialists to provide innovative and creative solutions and treatments for rare, metabolic, and cardiac diseases.
Specialists will be drawn from areas including biochemistry, medicine, pharmacology, epidemiology, IT, bioinformatics, and data science.
